Funding
There is no charge to become a member of a Neighbourhood Watch or to establish a Watch which is recognised by both Surrey Police and by the Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch steering group.

Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch‘s Steering Group holds a limited supply of funds, gifted to the Steering Group many years ago.

We have no sources of income other than receiving grant funding, lottery funding or private donations.

We do not charge for any of the supporting materials (leaflets and street signage/door stickers) that we freely provide although a number of these items do cost us money to order).

Continually drawing on our bank account would mean, within a short period of time, expenditure for replacement Watch membership door stickers, our yellow streetlamp mounted street signage and bicycle security marking stickers would not be possible as there would be no more monies available. Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch also has regular minor expenses that need to be met from our reserves to cover expenses such as postage and stationery. The Steering Group also funds the annual Watch Coordinators’ Event.

Parish Council Grant Funding Applications

In 2018, the Steering Group has taken the decision to seek grant funding from the 21 Parish Councils within Tandridge District Council to meet the costs of bicycle security marking stickers and new street signage.

We are extremely grateful to many of the Parish Councils for their agreement to assist with our funding so that we are able to continue developing the awareness of Neighbourhood Watch and the work we are doing, not only through our Watch Coordinators, within the whole community.
Tandridge Neighbourhood Watch is a voluntary group working with Surrey Police to help reduce crime in our community.

We are particularly keen to support the more vulnerable members of our community and it’s important to us that there are no costs involved in joining Neighbourhood Watch.

We support almost 10,000 homes within Tandridge District and are working hard to welcome more people, continuing to work with the Police to help minimise crime within our community. In setting up a watch we help neighbours to share information and look out for each other to deter criminals.

No one in Neighbourhood Watch receives a payment for their time and all of our costs come from running costs and materials including the signage and window stickers provided.

We provide street signs and a wide range of support including our website, all of which are free of charge.

Please support to ensure that we can continue to grow and provide more suppport for our community

Thank you for your support and good luck!
